Position Summary

Provide leadership direction of employees to safely produce the highest possible quality product in the most efficient and cost-effective way. Ensure materials are available as needed and equipment is operating properly and safely. Provide communication between departments to facilitate smooth and orderly flow of material product. Responsible for the supervision of the manufacturing operation to include the personnel, equipment, materials, production process, safety and adherence to ISO/cGMP/QSR requirements specifically but not limited to Manufacturing Procedures.

What You'll Do as a Manufacturing Supervisor
  • Directly supervises employees in manufacturing assembly operations and is responsible for fulfilling the pillars of True North (Employee Wellness, Quality, Delivery, Innovation, Profitability). In addition to supervising, this role requires the Supervisor to be hands on in the day-to-day production of products.

  • Supervises the daily staffing and operation of the manufacturing assembly department(s) and responsible for the Manufacturing assembly department(s) and associated packaging areas.

    Carry out daily duties with a bias for action and a high sense of urgency.

  • Accesses and effectively communicate all operational needs and possible improvements within the day-to-day operation of areas assigned.

  • Trains and maintain up to date training records of personnel in accordance with Training Requirements for manufacturing assembly department(s).

  • Organizes staff and work dispatch to enhance flow to maximize labor efficiency and utilization and maximize production output.

  • Provides input in hiring, termination, discipline and performance decisions as it regards to assembly staff.

  • Manufacturing Supervisor is accountable for achievement of quality, performance and departments goals and objectives.

  • Ensures the entire staff abides by all the company's health and safety policies and procedures which include the daily use of Personal Protective Equipment.

  • Carries out projects and tasks as required and assures that they are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Aware of and conforms to company's ISO/cGMP/QSR goals and objectives and supports ISO/cGMP/QSR requirements.
The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5-7 years in a production and/or manufacturing environment
  • 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, logistics/material handling, or equivalent environment.
  • Must have an excellent working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and the relative Lean Tools.

Preferred

  • Continuous Improvement / Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
Skills
  • Proficient in MS Office. Able to manage Microsoft Office software such as XL, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and MS Project in a proficient skill level.
  • Will be capable of Kaizen Event leadership and facilitation
  • Will be capable of training staff in areas of SOP, MP, and Lean Enterprise
  • Proactive and Dynamic with good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to manage ADP software and similar software applications as required
  • Thorough understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices

Pay range for this opportunity is $70,000 - $95,975.00.This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
