As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Watch in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer at a busy retail mall location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will deliver outstanding customer service and communication while supporting a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first, works together, and acts with integrity every day.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related protocols throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and contact site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe pedestrian and vehicle traffic, and document security-related incidents, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities, assist with crowd management during busy shopping periods, and provide clear directions and information to guests and/or employees as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
