As an Armed Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Overnight Shift in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related concerns, respond to incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post with Allied Universal, where teamwork, integrity, and a caring, reliable approach help you make a meaningful impact each day.

Pay Rate: $20.60 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders and applicable guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and help to control access for employees, patients, visitors, and/or deliveries, while reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
• Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents, patrol activity, and/or observations, and communicate relevant updates with Allied Universal leadership and location representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• A current CPO certification is required.
• A current armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
