Position Description:

The Licensed Clinical Lead provides quality psychotherapeutic and discharge planning services to all patient populations and their families; provides assessment, group treatment, family work, and discharge planning; serves as a member of interdisciplinary team supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Clinical conduct and liaison for admissions to the Residential Care and Partial Hospitalization Program.
  • Provides clinical refreshers and training to Mental Health Technicians and the nursing department.
  • Supports Director of Clinical Operations and PHP Manager with tracking documentation completion/timeliness and auditing charts/compliance.
  • Overall support of the clinical departments for inpatient care and PHP.
  • Implements curricula for residents/patients on assigned programs (RTC, acute, and PHP).
  • Deliver therapy to residents/patients on assigned programs as needed.
  • Assists with case management services.
  • Provides structure and support for acute, residential and partial hospitalization programs.
  • Maintains code of employer/employee relations.
  • Ensures Service Excellence delivery.

Qualifications

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.

Education

MA or MS level, Unrestricted and active license in social work (LCSW) or license in clinical mental health counseling (LPC) who is currently licensed in the state facility is located (VA) preferred.

Experience

Minimum of five years' clinical experience in the delivery of mental health treatment of children and/or adolescents.

Knowledge

Must possess knowledge of milieu management, group dynamics, individual and family treatment, biological aspects of psychological illness; demonstrated leadership ability and skills.

Physical requirements:

Working Conditions

Works on the premises, occasionally outside of facility. Must be physically capable of providing direct total physical care to unpredictable, potentially violent, mentally ill patients as necessary. This includes lifting, Kneeling, supporting, running toward or away from areas where problems are occurring and pushing and pulling equipment, such as wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds. Some risk involved in the event of aggressive/out-of- control patients.

Must possess physical ability to assist in restraining resident under such circumstances. This includes having the ability to kneel, squat, and stand for extended periods of time. Must possess the ability to perform CPR. Must possess visual and audio skills to complete job duties.

Schedule may include shift work, weekends, and holidays. All duties require above average intelligence and no cognitive deficits which compromise abstract thinking. Requires above average judgment which is not compromised by medication or substance abuse. Must possess valid driver's license.
