The Opportunity
In this role, you will manage high voltage service projects from order handover through execution, delivery confirmation, and invoicing, acting as the central point of coordination between sales, field operations, and customers. You will oversee project documentation, scheduling, and resource alignment while supporting installation activities for large Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) substations. The work involves coordinating material delivery, field service timelines, and contractor activities, while maintaining communication with customers on progress, scheduling, and closeout requirements. You will address project-related clarifications, support issue resolution across departments, and ensure project documentation and financial processes are completed. The position contributes to reliable grid operations by supporting the installation, commissioning, and energization of high voltage equipment, ensuring projects are delivered in alignment with technical requirements and customer agreements while incorporating data-supported planning and execution approaches. How You'll Make an Impact
Collaborate with technical sales to verify order accuracy and support order handoff activities Maintain and update service order documentation in SAP and support field service scheduling activities Coordinate the transition of projects to field service operations and confirm resource availability Manage project execution communication including scheduling, updates, and closeout documentation with customers Plan and sequence installation activities for large GIS substation projects, including equipment delivery, erection, and testing Direct on-site execution activities across field crews, contractors, and technical advisors through installation and energization phases Monitor material delivery schedules and coordinate shipments to support project timelines Manage project financial activities including invoicing, accounts receivable follow-up, and resolution of customer disputes Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States. Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical engineering Minimum of 5 years of experience Experience with installation and commissioning of large GIS substation projects, including multi-bay layouts, gas handling, and high-voltage field testing Knowledge of high voltage products, services, and their application Experience with SAP, including Fiori and Cockpit modules, and familiarity with AI-supported project management tools Willingness to travel on occasion
