Description Job Title: Manufacturing Specialist I - Assembly Location: On-Site, Melbourne, FL Employment Type: Temp to Direct Industry: Defense & Aerospace Compensation: $17/hr Shift: 1 ^st Schedule: 9x80, 7:00am-4:30pm About the Opportunity: Join a production team and contribute to the assembly of high-quality products that meet customer expectations for safety, quality, delivery, and cost. In this role, you will perform entry-level assembly and production tasks by following work instructions, drawings, and established procedures while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining a safe, team-oriented work environment. What You'll Do: Assemble mechanical, cable, harness, printed circuit board, and other sub-assemblies according to work instructions, drawings, and production requirements. Perform basic assembly operations, including hardware installation, wire preparation, sleeving, auto-bonding, pull testing, and torque tool usage. Inspect work for quality and accuracy, perform basic troubleshooting, and ensure products meet prescribed standards and customer requirements. Safely operate production tools and equipment while adhering to all safety procedures, WHMIS requirements, and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines. Access and utilize production resources such as routers, parts lists, work instructions, and other manufacturing documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in Lean events, 6S activities, and team-based problem-solving efforts.
