Job Title: Assistant Controller
Location: Rockledge, FL
Employment Type: Direct hire
Industry: Industrial technology/security automation
Compensation: $95,000 - $105,000 /hr.
Schedule: 40 hrs/Week.
About the Opportunity:
  • Support the monthly/quarterly/yearly close, ensuring:
    1. Inventory reconciliation.
    2. Cost of sales and accruals reserves calculated.
    3. Bank reconciliation.
    4. Third-party and Internal Controls.
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller to prepare and submit regular monthly corporate reports within a rigid schedule to support the subsidiary management in critical decisions through variance analysis, cost reductions, profitability enhancement, Capex return, planning & forecasting (PNL, Balance Sheet, Trade Working Capital Financial Statements.

What You'll Do:
  • Support the local subsidiary's sales and margin monthly closure management and related analysis by customer, product line, purchase price variances, labor, and overhead under absorption.
  • Maintain accurate and timely account reconciliations for PNL and Balance Sheet.
  • Support monthly/quarterly forecasts, annual budgetary, and long-term plans.
  • Support the Financial Controller in promoting and ensuring compliance with corporate policies & guidelines, applicable accounting principles, and legislation requirements.
  • Participate in preparation for the annual audit and quarterly internal control processes.
  • Sales tax calculation.
  • Income tax posting and payments.
  • 1Intercompany balances (C/R and R/P) reconciliation.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 5+ years of experience spent within modern organized companies, with a proven track record of conducting business in an international setting with significant related party activity.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Master's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • CPA Designation.
  • Excellent knowledge of ERP systems (Sage or SAP; Oracle/HFM reporting).
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Advanced in Excel).
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Good personal and professional ethical values with impeccable integrity.
  • Exhibits confidence and credibility and team-above-self outlook.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
