Truss Builder

An entry-level truss builder is responsible for assembling wood trusses and frame walls used in residential and commercial construction. This role involves reading blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and using hand and power tools to construct trusses according to specifications. Prior experience is a plus

• Assemble roof and floor trusses using pre-cut lumber and metal connector plates
• Read and interpret blueprints or work orders
• Operate saws, nail guns, and other hand/power tools safely
• Ensure trusses meet quality control standards
• Work in a fast-paced production environment to meet daily quotas
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE

• No prior experience required (on-the-job training provided)
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment (lifting 50+ lbs, standing for long periods)
• Team player with good communication skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to production requirements

• Fast-paced, repetitive tasks with strict deadlines

• Opportunities to advance to Lead Builder, Machine Operator, or Truss Designer roles

Schedule:

• 6:30am-2:30pm, Monday through Friday (Sometimes Saturdays)

Pay:$17.00/hr

• Leer e interpretar planos de construccion y medidas.

• Ensamblar cerchas utilizando madera, placas metalicas y herramientas neumaticas.

• Operar herramientas manuales y electricas de manera segura.

• Asegurar que los productos cumplan con los estandares de calidad y seguridad.

• Mantener el area de trabajo limpia y organizada.

• Cumplir con todas las normas de seguridad de la empresa.

Read and understand set-up sheets.

Position plates properly.

Operate gantry.

Verify lumber accuracy with sheets.

Verify truss set up is accurate.

Perform daily operator maintenance.

Maintain 100% crew efficiency.

Mark individual trusses when required.

Train Builder Associates.

Able to read and write in their primary language.

Able to stand for long periods of time.

Able to read or able to learn to read a set up sheet.

Able to lift 50 pounds.
