Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Metal Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This position is ideal for individuals interested in learning machining operations, metal fabrication, and precision manufacturing techniques. The successful candidate will assist with operating machinery, reading blueprints, measuring metal components, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.



Pay: $19.00


Shift: Morning



Key Responsibilities:
* Follow all workplace safety procedures and company standards
* Operate basic machining equipment such as lathes and milling machines under supervision
* Measure and inspect metal parts using precision tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
* Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
* Load and unload materials and machine parts safely
* Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
* Assist senior machinists with fabrication and production tasks

Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED preferred
* Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machining skills
* Ability to read measurements and use hand tools
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 50 pounds
* Prior manufacturing or shop experience is a plus but not required



Preferred Skills:
* Familiarity with CNC machinery or metalworking tools
* Basic math and blueprint-reading skills
* Good communication and time-management abilities



Work Environment:
This role operates in a manufacturing or machine shop environment and may require exposure to noise, metal dust, and heavy equipment. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and required.
