Position Summary: The warehouse administrator provides administrative support for day-to-day warehouse operations such as maintaining inventory records, processing material movement transactions, and preparing shipping and receiving documentation. In addition, the warehouse administrator provides administrative support for delivery activities.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintain and update data the enterprise system to include inventory transactions, work order fulfillment in addition to month end processing and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records of material receipts, inventory movements, asset tracking and disposals as well as reviewing and reconciling receipt inventories and monthly statements.
- Assist with researching and resolving inventory discrepancies in coordination with warehouse staff and other departments (inventory control, accounting and operations) to support accurate reconciliation of data in the enterprise systems.
- Support audit readiness through accurate documentation, record retention, and transaction validation.
- Prepare purchase requisitions and support change order documentation.
- Support the coordination and scheduling of daily material movements between warehouses, job sites and/or contactor locations as established by Warehouse Supervisor or Lead Warehouse Worker.
- Communicate with drivers, field crews, contractors and warehouse personnel to provide delivery updates, resolve scheduling conflicts and troubleshoot material or routing issues.
- Maintain dispatch logs, delivery records and material movement documentation.
- Support and participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers at all levels within LCEC. Ensure smooth operations, productive communications, and effective understanding during all interpersonal contacts. Provide current and accurate information to all requesters, courteously and in a timely manner.
- Support Storm Restoration efforts when needed. Work in emergency storm situations (i.e. hurricanes) and work long hours (>12 hours per day) for many continuous days/weeks as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalency diploma. (Required)
- Associate's degree in business administration or supply chain management. (Preferred)
Work Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience with administrative document controls and data entry in enterprise level inventory control systems. (Required)
- Prior work experience in warehouse administration or inventory support in a utility, construction or industrial environment. (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of supply chain and/or logistics processes. (Preferred)
- Prior experience tracking, documenting and reconciling material movements. (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of overhead and underground materials used in electric utility distribution industry. (Preferred)
