Position Summary

ISPA Technology is seeking a Software Engineer to support the design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and network systems. The Software Engineer applies engineering principles and computer science concepts to develop innovative technology solutions, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and support organizational and customer requirements. This position may be filled at the Engineer I, II, or III level based on education, experience, and demonstrated technical proficiency.

Position Responsibilities


  • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software applications, computer systems, and network solutions.
  • Analyze user and system requirements and develop effective technical solutions.
  • Support hardware and software integration, configuration, deployment, and maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, system, and network-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, engineering reports, and system specifications.
  • Participate in system architecture, design reviews, and technology evaluations.
  • Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles to solve technical challenges.
  • Support cybersecurity, quality assurance, and configuration management requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system enhancements and technology upgrades.
  • Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff, as appropriate.
  • Support project planning, testing, validation, and operational sustainment activities.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software development, computer system design, hardware engineering, or computer networking.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software development, computer systems, and networking principles.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle processes and engineering best practices.
  • Ability to analyze technical requirements and develop practical engineering solutions.
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, or similar technologies.
