Role Overview

The Director of Strategy & Operations leads strategic programs and drives alignment across Product, GTM, Operations, and other key stakeholders for the Agentforce Process Automation & Intelligence team. This role is responsible for running the operating cadence, performance management, and cross-functional alignment. Acting as a key partner to leadership, this role translates strategy into action and ensures the organization is moving in a unified direction.

Key Responsibilities

Run the Business

  • Build planning processes, decision frameworks, and governance using AI-first principles

  • Identify, prioritize, and deploy agent-based workflows and automation to eliminate manual work and enable scalable execution

  • Own monthly operating cadence (business reviews, KPI tracking)

  • Define and evolve key metrics aligned to business goals

  • Ensure teams are operating against clear priorities

  • Synthesize performance into clear insights and actions

  • Drive executive-level discussions and decisions

  • Partner with Business Operations to translate needs into systems

Strategic Programs

  • Own and drive execution of the org's highest-priority, cross-functional initiatives

  • Lead complex programs spanning Product, GTM, and Operations

  • Identify risks, dependencies, and trade-offs; proactively drive resolution

  • Ensure initiatives deliver against defined business outcomes

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Align priorities across Product, Sales, and Operations to ensure cohesive execution

  • Partner with functional leaders to resolve gaps, overlaps, and competing priorities

  • Drive clarity in roles, ownership, and decision-making across teams

  • Develop solutions to problems independently

Executive Partnership & Decision Support

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on key strategic decisions

  • Structure ambiguous problems and provide clear recommendations

  • Build executive-level narratives and materials to support alignment

Qualifications:

  • 8-12+ years in Strategy, Operations, Consulting, or Program Leadership

  • Strong analytical and business acumen, with a demonstrated ability to manage and lead complex central functions and cross-functional teams

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and drive success across multiple large-scale initiatives

  • Proven ability to identify and apply AI, automation, or agent-based solutions to real business challenges, with a focus on eliminating manual work and enabling scalable operations

  • Ability to succeed in a collaborative, fast-paced environment; ability to remain flexible and adjust on the fly to new demands and respond with a sense of urgency

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to convey complex ideas in a strategic and concise fashion

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-paced environments

  • Experience in high-growth or startup-like environments preferred

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $171,200 - $273,000 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $205,800 - $298,400 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
