The Opportunity:

Avantor is looking for a Program Manager, Q&R Digital join our Global Operations-Quality Systems group!

The Program Manager will drive highimpact, largescale projects from concept to completion-bringing teams, vendors, and stakeholders together to deliver results. You'll set project strategy, define scope, manage risks, and optimize resources while serving as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. With a strong focus on collaboration and influence, you'll lead vendor partnerships, align stakeholders, and keep complex initiatives moving forward with clarity, confidence, and momentum.

What we're looking for

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in an engineering, technical, or related discipline (e.g., Engineering Management, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering) is required
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive project/program management experience, with at least 3 years managing large, cross-functional programs in a regulated environment
    • Demonstrated success in leading organizational change, process improvement, and digital transformation initiatives
    • Proficiency in software development practices such as Agile
    • Strong problem solving and project management skills
    • Ability to work independently to prioritize multiple competing tasks
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high growth environment
  • Certification(s): Formal program/project management training or certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP, Agile, Lean Six Sigma) strongly preferred
  • Collaboration Tool: Proficiency with MS Office suite (MS Project experience highly desirable)
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience with enterprise systems implementation (eQMS, PLM, RIMS, SAP, AI) highly desirable
    • Experience leading projects preferred

How you will thrive and create an impact

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple, complex programs within the Q&R Digital portfolio, ensuring alignment with business strategy and objectives
  • Develop and manage program roadmaps, budgets, resource plans, and timelines for initiatives such as eQMS, PLM, RIMS, and future digital solutions
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Q&R business stakeholders and IT, ensuring business/user requirements drive program outcomes
  • Oversee workstream leads, providing guidance, mentorship, and escalation support
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, IT, and external partners
  • Establish and maintain program governance, risk management, and change control processes
  • Track and report program progress, risks, issues, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement at all levels of the organization
  • Support organizational change management, process restructuring, and system implementation efforts
  • Prepare and coordinate communications, presentations, and report-outs for internal and external stakeholders
  • Continuously improve program management practices and contribute to the development of the Q&R Digital team
  • Adhere to standard Project Management methodologies within the project life cycle
  • Develop Project action plans with project stakeholders
  • Meets project objectives and timelines, along with budget requirements
  • Utilizes best practices to meet committed dates
  • Identifies and resolves conflicts proactively and escalates to management appropriately
  • Provides regular and proactive communication to stakeholders, team members and management
  • Reviews and updates risk, quality, and communication plans
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Expertise in program management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed, global environment and manage diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of compliance, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to drive business requirements and partner with IT for successful solution delivery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present complex information concisely to leadership, teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, resolve conflicts, and make decisions in a dynamic environment.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is

$97,500.00 - $156,975.00

Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
