Job Description




As a Security Officer Credential Screening Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees and visitors. This is a driving post. You will help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence, strong communication, and dependable service while bringing our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

1+ Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR 2+ Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3+ Years' Security Experience (C108)
Valid Driver's License - In Job State (C124)

What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry points, screening processes, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related protocols for personnel, vehicles, and deliveries.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership according to post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and perimeter locations while observing for unusual conditions, policy violations, and other security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and visitor records, and communicate clearly with site personnel regarding post instructions, emergency response activities, and/or changing location conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must have 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of security-related supervisor and/or manager experience or 3+ years of security-related experience.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
