Security Officer - Patrol Support

As a Security Officer Patrol Support in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Our unarmed patrol professionals support a dynamic education location by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and responding to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. This role calls for strong communication, customer service, and a team-first mindset as you help to deter incidents and assist students, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities across an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, assisting with visitor direction, policy compliance, and general support for daily campus operations.
• Document incidents, patrol activity, and unusual observations in a clear and timely manner, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or local personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
