Diesel Mechanic Location: 460 NW 52nd Ave, Ocala, FL 34482 Company: Florida Express Waste & Recycling A Waste Connections Company Pay Range: $30+/hour DOE Position Summary Florida Express Waste & Recycling is seeking a safetyconscious Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Ocala, FL. This role is responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on company trucks and equipment, including electrical and hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, detailoriented, and experienced working in a fastpaced fleet environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on diesel trucks and equipment Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and vehicle computer systems Conduct safety checks and inspections on vehicles and equipment Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) Accurately document maintenance activities, parts usage, and labor hours using fleet maintenance software Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards Schedule Monday-Friday Occasional Saturdays as needed Working Conditions & Physical Effort Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day Work performed outdoors in all weather conditions Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, fumes, and moderate noise levels Must follow all established safety procedures and precautions Minimum Qualifications 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic systems Familiarity with fleet maintenance software and vehicle inspection protocols Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions yearround What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Yearround job stability in an essential industry Supportive management team Comprehensive Benefits Package Includes: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Life Insurance & LongTerm Disability 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Vacation Apply Today and Connect With Your Future!
