Job Description

The Market Field Sales Intern is an early-career development role designed to provide hands-on exposure to the field sales organization and Allstate's agent-facing business model. Reporting to a Territory Business Leader and partnering with cross-functional leaders, the intern will learn how field strategies, sales communications, recruitment processes, and operational workflows are designed and executed. This role offers meaningful project-based experience while building foundational skills in consultation, communication, and process improvement.

Reporting Relationship

Direct Reporting Line: Territory Business Leader (TBL)

Matrixed Support: Works with additional field, operations, sales enablement, and talent leaders as part of a structured internship program

Key Responsibilities

  • Learns and participates in consultation processes by supporting Territory Business Leaders and partner teams on field sales initiatives
  • Assists in the development of agent-facing and sales communications, including drafting content, organizing materials, and supporting delivery plans
  • Supports elements of the new agent recruitment process for the field, gaining exposure to recruitment strategy, execution steps, and stakeholder coordination
  • Contributes to project work supporting the Allstate Agency Value Proposition (AAVP), including research, planning support, and execution readiness activities
  • Observes and helps document agent-to-Allstate operations workflows to build understanding of field and operational interactions
  • Collaborates with cross-functional partners to gather information, document insights, and support continuous improvement efforts
  • Prepares summaries, analyses, and presentation materials to support leadership discussions and project updates

Education

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Operations, or a related field (Required)

Experience

Coursework, academic projects, internships, or campus involvement related to business operations, sales, communications, or process improvement (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory duties.

Compensation offered for this role is between $20 and $25.50 an hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
