Job Title: Assembler-Welder Department: Assembly / Production Reports to: Production Supervisor Classification: Non-Exempt / Hourly Assembler-Welder (Enclosure Department - Assembly with Light Welding) Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembler-Welder to join our Enclosure Department. This position is primarily assembly-focused (approximately 85% assembly and 15% welding) and is ideal for candidates with a background in construction, drywall, framing, or related hands-on trades. The Assembler will work as part of a small team to build, insulate, and install enclosure panels according to prints and specifications, ensuring quality, accuracy, and safety standards are met. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assemble enclosure panels and components according to drawings, prints, and work instructions Perform light welding tasks as required (approximately 15% of the role) Measure, cut, and install insulation materials such as Rockwool Install and secure materials including perforated sheet metal, plastic panels, and insulation Use hand and power tools such as clamps, impact drivers, drills, and measuring tools Ensure all components are properly aligned, fastened, and securely installed Work collaboratively within a 3-4-person team to meet production goals Inspect finished assemblies for quality, accuracy, and completeness Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all safety policies and procedures Minimum Education High School Minimum Years of Experience 0-2 Specific Qualifications Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in assembly, construction, drywall, framing, or a related field preferred Basic understanding of reading and interpreting prints or drawings Basic welding experience or willingness to learn Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install materials Comfortable using hand and power tools Ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and reach overhead for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle repetitive tasks. Comfortable working with tools and machinery in a manufacturing setting. This position is well-suited for individuals with experience in drywall, framing, or construction looking to transition into assembly and installation work.
