The Department of Public Health Sciences is currently seeking a Biostatistician/ Senior Biostatistician. Level will be determined by qualifications. The incumbent collaborates with research faculty members in the Division of Biostatistics, as well as other investigators in the School of Medicine, on multiple clinical and biomedical research projects. The Biostatistician designs and performs reproducible statistical analyses, writes technical reports and interprets study results. The incumbent collaborates and supports research projects, providing status reports, and research publication and grant proposal support. Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications for Biostatistician: Education: Master's degree in statistics, biostatistics, or a related quantitative field by appointment start date Experience: Three years of related experience is preferred, including professional biostatistical collaborative experiences Minimum Qualifications for Senior Biostatistician: Education: Master's degree in statistics, biostatistics, or a related quantitative field by appointment start date Experience: Five years of related experience, including professional biostatistical collaborative experiences Preferred Qualifications
Physical Demands This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require walking some distance to attend meetings, and programs. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. This is an exempt-level, benefited position. Learn more about UVA benefits. This is a restricted position, which is dependent on funding and is contingent upon funding availability. This position is based in Charlottesville, VA, and must be performed fully on-site for the first 6 months, after which the position is eligible for a hybrid schedule, in accordance with UVA's remote work guidelines.
