The role of a molding operator is to use molds, presses and equipment to produce silicone rubber implantable medical device components. Responsibilities:?
- Operate molding machines and prepare all required materials, including silicone, inserts, and other components needed for production, while preventing damage to tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
- Perform in?process quality inspections using a stereo inspection microscope; maintain adequate visual ability, fine hand dexterity, and strong attention to detail to ensure parts meet Flexan's quality and productivity standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve molding quality issues, proactively identify potential problems or improvement opportunities, and demonstrate strong problem?solving skills when processes are not functioning correctly.
- Follow all Flexan and cleanroom procedures, including traceability, line clearance, process control, safety, housekeeping, cleanroom attire, and contamination control.
- Accurately complete required documentation and ERP data entry-including labels, paperwork, work orders, production quantities, and deviations-error?free and in English; able to read and understand work instructions and process documents.
- Collaborate professionally as a team player, maintaining good work ethic, punctuality, respect for coworkers and supervisors, and a willingness to assist others to improve productivity, quality, and workplace morale.
- Meet physical requirements of the role, including sitting or standing for extended periods, multitasking in a fast?paced environment, and lifting or performing push/pull operations on tools up to 75 pounds.
Requirements:?
- High School Diploma/GED
- 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing setting

- Knowledge of and willingness to comply with all general work rules, policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and procedures.??
- Ability to identify routine problem causation, and correct routine problems, and willingness to learn.??
- Broad working knowledge and experience with standard work instructions.??

? Preferences: ??
- 2+?years of assembly experience preferred, but strong mechanical aptitude may also be acceptable.?
- Good understanding of assembly operations.?
- Capable of reading and following standard work.?
- Must be capable of using special measuring equipment effectively.?
- Capable of working from blueprints, drawings, charts, specifications, and/or verbal instructions.?
- Capable of performing work such as fitting parts to close tolerances.?
- Ability to work with minimum supervision and work well with others.?
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.?
- Excellent past work record (performance, attendance and attitude)?
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work may require occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, as well as lifting or moving up to 75 pounds.
- Employee may be frequently or occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts depending on operational needs.
- Must be able to work occasional weekends and overtime as required by production demands.
Pay Range ??
- Starting Pay will be $19 per hour. This is a full-time, hourly position.????
