Job Description

The Technical Analyst IV serves as a senior liaison between the line of business and Information Technology, with a primary focus on understanding business needs and translating them into effective, scalable technical solutions. This role emphasizes requirements elicitation, solution analysis, and endtoend systems thinking, with consideration for user experience, user workflows, data flows, integrations, and overall solution usability.
The Technical Analyst applies seasoned professional judgment and a comprehensive understanding of industrystandard business analysis practices, organizational policies, and enterprise technology standards. The role is responsible for defining and performing analysis, solution design, planning, implementation, and ongoing support for some of the organization's most critical systems and processes, with alignment to the longterm technology roadmap.
This position leads and manages complex initiatives with organizational impact, coordinating across multiple teams and stakeholders. The Technical Analyst plans, organizes, and controls project activities, while also providing daytoday analytical and technical support for complex application systems.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for simple to complex initiatives by partnering with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams. This includes translating business needs into clear functional and nonfunctional requirements such as data retention, reporting definitions, integration points, performance, resiliency, and data security controls.
  • Lead requirements discovery and solution definition by starting with a business problem or objective and identifying, evaluating, and recommending appropriate technical solutions. This includes assessing existing systems, data flows, and architectures to determine the best path forward.
  • Manage Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) processes, including defining requirements, evaluating vendor responses, and supporting solution selection decisions.
  • Contribute to enterprise and lineofbusiness technology strategy by applying IT governance standards, architectural methodologies, and SOA/cloud governance practices. You will conduct research to identify technology trends and gaps, develop multiyear roadmaps, and present actionable recommendations to address current and future needs. You will act as a trusted project consultant across the team's project portfolio.
  • Design, document, and execute Disaster Recovery and resiliency processes, ensuring alignment with business recovery objectives and regulatory expectations.
  • Prioritize and manage initiatives across lines of business and Executive Funding Committee (EFC) portfolios, including intake and analysis of enhancement requests, development of business cases, contribution to strategic vision, and support for annual planning and estimation activities.
  • Develop and maintain critical vendor and partner relationships, serving as a technical and functional point of contact to ensure solutions align with business requirements and architectural standards.
  • Mentor and provide oversight to other analysts, offering guidance on requirements practices, solution analysis, technical skills, and daytoday project support.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge of application and data flows across distributed systems, systemtosystem integrations, relational database principles, tiered and cloudbased environments, and strong project execution and delivery practices.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of (a/an) Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field of study and / or 5-7 years of directly related experience in Technical Analysis, Data Analytics, or Bank Operations or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Advanced Technical understanding of:
    • Single application data flows across multiple applications
    • Software integration, system integration, and technology used
    • RDBMS principles and tools
    • Tiered environments (e.g. development, testing, UAT, production, DR)
    • Application disaster recovery
    • Leveraging knowledge of Cloud environments
    • SQL Queries
    • IT and IS standards and concepts
    • Banking and payments industry and processes
    • Conducting fit gap analysis
  • Solid conceptual thinking and analytical skills
  • Well-developed Project Management Skills
  • Solid Collaborative skills
