As part of the GTE Financial team, the Product Manager Intern will have the opportunity to support product development, competitive research, data analysis, and process improvement efforts across the organization. This role provides a holistic introduction to how financial products are created, evaluated, and optimized to improve member experience and drive organizational success.

This internship is not just about gaining work experience; it's about making meaningful contributions, learning in a dynamic environment, and building foundational product management skills. What will a GTE Product Manager Intern do?

One of the major purposes of the Product Management internship is to provide a meaningful and educational experience.

What You'll Learn:

Product Development Support:

  • Assist in the enhancement of existing financial products and the exploration of new offerings.
  • Participate in crossdepartmental projects that deepen your understanding of how product decisions impact the enterprise.

Reporting, Dashboards & Performance Analysis:

  • Support the development of product performance reporting, dashboards, and metrics.
  • Help gather, clean, and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities.

Competitive & Industry Research:

  • Conduct competitive research and help track industry trends to support strategic planning.

Documentation & Process Support:

  • Assist with updating product guidelines, procedures, and assessments to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in documentation of new product assessments, performance projections, and other product materials.

Marketing & Campaign Support:

  • Help coordinate marketing initiatives, including campaign planning, execution, and performance tracking.
  • Work with Graphic Design teams and internal partners to support creative deliverables.

Data Analysis & Insights:

  • Support data retrieval, validation, and analysis from multiple systems to help generate monthly and ad hoc product reports.
  • Conduct competitive research and help track industry trends to support strategic planning.

Program Highlights:

  • Up to fulltime hours (up to 40 per week), with the expectation that this internship will be candidate's focus.
  • Build practical product management, research, and analytics experience.
  • Participate in two group projects that will be implemented across the credit union, allowing your significant contribution to GTE's future and showcase your learnings.
  • Play an integral role in the GTE Scholarship Program, helping to facilitate, support, and present to GTE Board Members.

What does GTE look for in a Product Manager Intern?

Experience

  • A desire to learn and ask questions, and comfort working with data.
  • Analytical, organizational, and timemanagement skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to a fastpaced environment.
  • Effective communication, writing, and documentation skills.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to assess enterprisewide impacts.
  • Computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, using sound judgment and discretion in solving problems.
  • Ability to present a professional image in meetings, professional settings, and external interactions.

Operational

  • Must demonstrate a willingness to learn about Federal regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, U.S. Patriot Act, AntiMoney Laundering, and related compliance requirements.
  • Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish).

Required Qualifications

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited university.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Submission of cover letter, resume, transcripts, and three references is required.
  • Demonstrated participation in extracurricular and/or community service activities.

Required for Remote Work

  • A quiet, dedicated workspace to ensure productivity and focus.
  • Some positions may require meeting specific performance standards to qualify for hybrid or remote arrangements.
  • Power and highspeed internet connection (minimum 100MB).
  • Video capability (1.5 Mbps recommended upload/download).
  • All technical requirements must be met prior to the first day of training.
  • Hybrid candidates must live within driving distance of the office and commute regularly or as needed.
  • Remote candidates must be able to attend onsite meetings when required.

Position Details

  • Location: Downtown Tampa - GTE Headquarters
  • Department Hours: Monday-Friday (8:00 am to 5:00 pm)
  • Parttime hours required, with additional hours as needed to support projects and objectives.
