The Blueprint (Role Profile)
The Facilities Manager will oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and improvement of a high-volume distribution center, including associated office spaces. This role ensures the facility remains safe, compliant, and operationally effective while managing preventive maintenance programs, vendor relationships, and capital improvement projects. The ideal candidate will balance day-to-day operational needs with long-term strategic planning to support business growth. This position is based in our Apex, NC facility, and will report to the Sr Director, Distribution.

The Build (Responsibilities)
Facility Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee daily maintenance of warehouse, office, and site infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend asset life
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Provide support to other US Facilities as required
- Supervise the maintenance technicians, which is currently a team of 6
Capital Projects & Improvements
- Plan, budget, and execute capital improvement projects, including facility upgrades, expansions, and equipment installations
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
- Prepare business cases and ROI analyses for proposed projects
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Source, negotiate, and manage service contracts for maintenance, cleaning, landscaping, and security
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements
Budget & Reporting
- Develop and manage the facilities budget, including operating expenses and capital expenditures
- Track and report on maintenance metrics, project progress, and cost control measures
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Support facility safety initiatives, including inspections, audits, and emergency preparedness
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, fire codes, and other applicable regulations
The Toolbox (Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field OR equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of facilities management experience, preferably in a distribution or industrial environment
- Proven track record in managing capital projects from concept to completion
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance best practices, and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and MS Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving, communication and organizational skills required
