Your role

As an Architect with Gensler's team in Atlanta you will support the design and delivery of some of the most complex and impactful Hospitality, Mixed Use, Residential, Critical Facilities, Retail and Workplace projects in the region. You will bring together design excellence, technical rigor, and strategic thinking to deliver architecture that is both deeply functional and experientially rich. You will work within a highly collaborative, client-focused culture that values design quality, resilience, and social purpose.

What You Will Do

  • Take on greater independence in managing coordination, technical documentation, and consultant communication
  • Contribute to design leadership, oversee portions of project delivery, and mentor less experienced teammates
  • Lead coordination between the project team and consultants
  • Develop and manage technicaldocumentationensuring accuracy and alignment with design intent
  • Support project managers with scheduling, deliverables, and milestone planning
  • Resolve technical and design challenges; propose innovative yet constructible solutions
  • Oversee sections of specifications and contribute to project manual development
  • Conduct site visits; lead submittal review, RFI responses, and construction documentation
  • Mentor emerging designers andprovidetechnical guidance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, contractors, andpermittingofficials

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's orMaster's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • Registered / Licensed Architect (if you are nearly licensed, feel free to contact nicole_kumar@gensler.com to determine whether there is another role that is suitable for your background)
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience within a commercial design firm
  • Strong proficiencywith Revit
  • Experience with Bluebeam, SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite is preferred
  • Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and systems
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to communicate technical details verbally and in writing
  • Passion for design excellence and continuous learning
  • Demonstrated commitment to resilience and sustainable building practices; ideally portfolios will include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus
