Your Assignment at a Glance

The Temporary Yard Support Associate provides general yard and fleet support to help keep trucks clean, organized, and ready for use. This temporary role assists with preparing spare trucks, maintaining yard order, and verifying that required documents are present in vehicles.

Fleet & Truck Preparation

  • Perform basic visual checks of spare trucks (interior and exterior)
  • Clean trucks inside and out as needed
  • Remove trash and wipe down surfaces
  • Confirm required items and paperwork are inside the truck
  • Report visible damage or concerns to the Fleet Operations Asset Manager
  • Notify management when trucks are ready for assignment

Document Verification

  • Verify required registration and permit documents are present in each truck
  • Notify management if documents are missing

Yard Organization & Cleanliness

  • Park and organize spare trucks in designated areas
  • Keep trucks aligned and yard space orderly
  • Pick up trash and debris throughout the yard
  • Keep wash and parking areas clean
  • Assist with general yard tasks as assigned

Work Environment

    • Outdoor yard setting
    • Exposure to weather conditions and vehicle traffic
    • Frequent walking, climbing in and out of trucks, bending, and lifting

Physical and Environmental Requirements
The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by a Contractor to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the Contractor is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The Contractor is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The Contractor must frequently move up to 25 pounds. The associate will regularly be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, areas in which moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals are present, and outside weather conditions. The noise level for this position will vary and the associate may be exposed to loud noise levels.
