Job Description




As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Sacramento, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, while providing professional assistance to employees and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, and you may use a computer or tablet to document observations and communicate updates. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and vendors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual conditions, and assist with badge, key, and visitor control procedures as directed by post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, and/or suspicious activity, and request additional assistance when needed.
  • Complete detailed reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to site representatives and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
