Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Subcontracts Administrator to join our team. This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of various federal subcontracts and commercial construction subcontracts through all phases of contract administration, including solicitations, proposal review, negotiation, subcontract administration and closeout. The selected candidate will be expected to maintain compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as internal company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:
With a minimum degree of oversight, performs the following:

  • Drafts and edits, subcontracts, consulting agreements and other contracting vehicles, submits to cognizant Subcontracts Administrator for review and signature as necessary
  • Reviews subcontracts to ensure that appropriate clauses and terms and conditions are incorporated
  • Performs pre-negotiation fact-finding research to support negotiations as delegated
  • Processes subcontract invoices as delegated
  • Ensures that subcontract actions are properly executed with all required authorizations and signatures, and properly prepares, maintains, and closes out files
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), NASA FAR Supplement, International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR), and other related regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Experience with the review and flow down of contract requirements to suppliers (e.g., terms and conditions, statements of work)
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate and coordinate with a wide range of project sponsors, principal investigators, co-workers, and other stakeholders
  • Well-developed computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), web browsers, and internal databases
  • Sound time management skills and attention to detail
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, hardworking, and solution oriented
  • Proven ability to work well both independently and on a team
  • Ability to work flexible hours and travel on occasion
  • Must be a U.S. citizenwith the abilityto obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • An MBA, MS, MPA, JD, or other related academic credential
  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Professional Contract Management (CPCM), DAWIA Certification, or related professional credentials
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with Federal Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) audits
  • Experience with commercial contracting and large, complex federal contract awards
  • Expertise with Federal acquisition policy analysis, development and associated organization processes
  • Active Top Secret clearance
*Salary Range
  • $64,000 - $125,000
    • Salary commensurate on education and relevant experience
