Posting Title Data Platform Analyst Department Overview The School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) at the University of Virginia drives innovation in teaching, research, and service to society. Position Summary The School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) at the University of Virginia seeks a Data Platform Analyst to join the Data and Platform Services team. Reporting to the Director of Data and Platform Services, this role plays a vital part in connecting stakeholders with data solutions that support strategic and operational decision-making. The Data Platform Analyst will gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions, build and maintain ETL pipelines within a Microsoft Fabric environment, and develop Power BI dashboards and semantic models. This position will also support the secure modernization of analytics processes by leveraging AI capabilities available in Microsoft Fabric and other University-approved tools. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys working across the full analytics lifecycle-from stakeholder engagement through data delivery. Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience: At least 4 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field. Physical Demands This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. Salary Range $92,000 - $105,000 annually. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Position Type & Work Location This is a full-time, benefited position. Work will be performed in Charlottesville, VA with options for a hybrid work schedule in accordance with University policy.
