Job Title: Project Manager (Professional) Location(s): Des Moines, IA Overview Seeking an experienced Project Manager to coordinate large-scale transformational initiatives involving multiple workstreams and product teams. This role will drive alignment, manage cross-team dependencies, and ensure delivery of strategic business outcomes within defined timelines. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate a complex transformation initiative involving approximately 10 workstreams and multiple product teams.
- Ensure work across teams is aligned, coordinated, and delivered according to target timelines and business objectives.
- Partner with a Senior Program Manager who has been leading the initiative since inception; collaborate on daily operations while maintaining accountability for overall coordination.
- Develop and maintain cross-program and product roadmaps highlighting timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
- Prepare and distribute weekly status reports and executive communications, including risk updates.
- Facilitate weekly coordination meetings with workstream leaders, product teams, and leadership stakeholders.
- Identify interdependencies and risks across workstreams and ensure mitigation plans are implemented.
- Escalate issues to leadership when necessary to remove blockers and maintain progress.
- Build strong relationships across teams through leadership, collaboration, and influence.
- Manage competing priorities and drive results in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in project, program, or initiative management, including large transformational initiatives.
- Strong executive presence with excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across all levels, including external consultants and vendors, without formal authority.
- Proven ability to build relationships, foster collaboration, and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong planning, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment.
- Understanding of information technology capabilities and applications; experience supporting large IT transformation initiatives is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency with PC and standard business tools.
- Demonstrated ability to assess organizational culture and adapt work approaches to drive successful outcomes.
Preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
