Hours:

Monday - Friday: 8AM-5PM

(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department)

Function: Performs various analytical functions in support of the Research Exceptions Department. Responsible for proficient management of various operating procedures, policies, and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assumes responsibility for the following functional areas of Deposit Operations:

    • Special reports

    • Garnishment

    • Subpoena

    • Project Initiatives

  • Gains advanced knowledge of and performs as needed all functional areas of Research Exceptions including, but not limited to:

    • General Ledger Reconcilements

    • Deposit Collection Activities

      • Charge off and recovery activities

    • Document Management Activities

      • Decedent Processing

      • Stop payments

    • Non-Post/Returns Activities

      • Exceptions Processing

      • Safe Deposit Box

    • Research and Adjustment Activities

      • Dormant Account processing

      • Deluxe Alert Center

  • Assists Research Exceptions Manager with:

    • Reviewing and initialing daily balancing, checklists, general ledger tickets, and online dollars as required by departmental procedures.

    • Fulfilling duties of Research Exceptions Manager in his/her absence.

    • Assisting with annual Performance Evaluations by providing input on performance as well as recommendations for new goals for the upcoming year.

    • Assisting other members of the team in resolving complex issues.

    • Assisting with productivity tracking for all areas of the Research Exceptions department

    • System Administration for TRIPS, SVPCO, EARNS and Deluxe Alert Center

  • Assists in the development of work standards and performance metrics.

  • Evaluates and updates written procedural documentation, including disaster recovery, data governance, SOX controls, SOC Assessment review and information security.

  • Support operational audits by collecting information and acting as a liaison between operations and audit.

  • Participates in and manages special projects as requested.

  • Assumes a role in merger and acquisition integration for deposit related system conversions, processes, and record retention.

  • Training

    • Acts as the Training Record Application Liaison.

    • Develop and maintain training documents for new and existing employees.

    • Train new employees and existing employees in various tasks related to Research Exceptions.

    • Assisting with appropriate training opportunities for staff members.

    • Actively participates as a mentee, learning through observation, feedback, and staff engagement

  • Develop leadership skills via assigned coaching and training opportunities.

  • Completes other duties as required.

Education:

Requires high school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized training or a two-year degree.

Experience:

Requires one to two years general experience, two to five years specialized training.

Physical Demands:

This work can be performed at multiple locations. Operates a keypad device 60-70%, electronic equipment 20-30% of the day. Traveling 0-10%, overnight stays 0-10%. Primary parts of the body involved include fingers, thumb, hand, wrist(s), elbows, upper torso. Standing 0-10%, sitting 60-70%, walking 0-10% of the day. This work can be performed with reasonable accommodation requests.
