Position Summary:

The Med/Surg Lead Clinical Nurse coordinates the total care for a group of patients throughout their stay to achieve clinical, financial, and organizational outcomes. The Lead Clinical Nurse is instrumental in mentoring and managing the clinical staff to promote quality, safety, and excellence in care. Serves as a clinical expert and manages an evolving clinical picture, including identifying impending changes in clinical condition and responds timely and appropriately. The Lead Clinical Nurse assumes responsibility and is accountable for overall unit operations in the absence of the Nurse Manager. Able to apply the principles of evidence-based care and service excellence into practice.



Position Details:



  • 40 hours/week; fulltime, benefitted
  • Day Shift



Education/Experience/Licensure



  • BSN is preferred.
  • Licensure as a RN in DC
  • Minimum of three years of experience in the practice specialty is required.
  • Current CPR certification required.



Salary Range: Minimum $46.18/hour - Maximum $71.58 /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
