PRODUCT MANAGER EPIC PATIENT ACCESS

Montefiore is actively investing in its technology teams as a system-level priority, and we are seeking a Product Manager to join our Epic IT team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Define and evolve the product vision, roadmap, and KPIs for Epic Prelude, including registration, insurance verification and patient self-registration workflows.
  • Partner with clinical, operational, revenue cycle, and IT leadership to align product strategy with organizational goals.
  • Lead discovery efforts to identify workflow gaps, patient access challenges, and enhancement opportunities.
  • Lead discovery and execution of integrated enhancements and projects
  • Partner with operations to ensure alignment of Epic facility hierarchy with operational reality.
  • Maintain Epic's facilitystructure optimization across new site expansions, ambulatory sites, joint ventures, and specialty centers.
  • Oversee build, configuration, and optimization across Prelude and closely related modules.
  • Evaluate and implement new Epic features, upgrades, and enhancement requests in alignment with systemwide governance.
  • Serve as SME for Epic Prelude and Facility Structure workflows.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog in collaboration with application analysts and technical teams.
  • Drive successful implementation of new capabilities, enhancements, and workflow changes.
  • Monitor performance metrics and conduct post-implementation reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Partner with training teams to support end-user education and ensure smooth adoption.
  • Manage a team of Epic analysts engaged in providing Epic support and enhancements.
    • This includes:
      • Planning the work, delegating effectively and follow up with staff, providing support and guidance.
      • Responsible for resource allocation within his/her product group, managing assignments, and overseeing work for new implementations (new system roll-out or new functionality) and maintenance/support of products.
      • Evaluate the team and its members' level of performance, provide performance management and establish the delivery of top tier services and products.
      • Mentor and identify training needs for team members, ensuring professional development and superior technical expertise.
      • Responsible for staffing decisions and promotion of team members.

Requirements include:

  • Epic ADT and Prelude certification.
  • 3 or more years of experience with Epic Prelude/ADT.
  • Experience with Epic Reports and Extracts
  • Experience operating in a multifacility health systemwith complex campus structures.
  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills.
  • Experience managing an Epic technical team

Preferred:

  • Experience with Epic RTE
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
