Location: Pascagoula, MS

Position Overview: Bollinger is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineering Intern for a full-time, on-site summer internship at our Pascagoula, MS facility. This opportunity is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a professional, real-world environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support in the development of administrative & technical PSC C5ISR PIF database, including data pipelines, UI/UX, and SQL database development
  • Assist in the review of subcontractor provided software deliverables to ensure compliance with applicable contracts and best practices
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear records of work activities and changes made to technical documentation & products. Prepare and present detailed reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Education: Currently a junior or senior enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with technical writing, software architecture concepts, relational database design concepts, requirements analysis, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Software/Tools: Proficiency with SQL, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and MS Visio (or other charting/diagramming tools). Experience with UML diagrams, Visual Basic, AccessDB is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in design, allowing students to develop industry-relevant skills, expand their professional network, and contribute meaningfully to Bollinger's Engineering department.
