QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN II-III

JOB TITLE: QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN II

DEPARTMENT: QUALITY ASSURANCE

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE

CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT

This position may be filled at different levels depending on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Performing and documenting inspections of manufacturing products and materials.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Perform inspection of manufactured parts and assemblies to provided data packages.

* Document inspection results on approved forms.

* Perform incoming inspection on raw material and outsourced processes.

* Review and signoff on redlined drawings and engineering change requests.

* Perform other duties as are necessary and/or required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS LEVEL II:

* High school diploma and 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing Quality.

* Able to read and understand engineering drawings.

* Use of basic inspection tools (i.e. calipers / gauge blocks / thread gauges / micrometers).

* Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain results and methodologies.

* Ability to obtain a security clearance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS LEVEL III:

* High school diploma and 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing Quality.

* Able to read and understand engineering drawings.

* Use of basic inspection tools (i.e. calipers / gauge blocks / thread gauges / micrometers).

* Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain results and methodologies.

* Ability to obtain a security clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Associate's degree in related field

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

* Ability to stand at a workstation for prolonged periods of time.

* Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
