Position Responsibilities

Deltek is undergoing a major transformation following a recent rebrand and repositioning as the intelligent platform for high-stakes, project-based work. As the company accelerates revenue growth, we are building a next-generation Customer Marketing function to match the scale, ambition, and complexity of the business.

The Vice President of Customer Marketing is a newly created, global leadership role and a critical partner to the CMO. This leader will design and build Deltek's Customer Marketing capability-owning global strategy, program architecture, and execution across the full customer lifecycle, with responsibility for customer marketing across Deltek's full suite of platforms and diverse set of industries.

This is a foundational role, responsible for turning customer engagement, proof, and signals into durable growth.

Core Responsibilities

Global Customer Marketing Leadership

  • Own global responsibility for Customer Marketing, including strategy, operating model, and team leadership across multiple platforms and industries.

  • Build and lead a globally distributed team aligned to Deltek's growth priorities.

Customer Marketing Program Design & Build

  • Design and implement Deltek's Customer Marketing operating model from the ground up.

  • Establish scalable, repeatable programs with clear governance, prioritization, and measurement.

  • Mature the function into a programmatic, outcomes-driven capability with measurable impact.

Customer Lifecycle Marketing & Communications

  • Own end-to-end customer lifecycle marketing strategy, including onboarding, adoption and value realization, maturity and expansion, and renewal and retention.

  • Lead Customer Community strategy and execution, including digital communities, user groups, and Customer Advisory Boards (CABs).

Customer Reference & Advocacy

  • Build and scale Deltek's customer reference and advocacy engine.

  • Enable a shift to proof-based value storytelling across the buying and customer journey.

  • Operationalize customer proof as a strategic growth asset.

Signals-Based & Ongoing Customer Programs

  • Establish always-on, signals-driven customer marketing programs, including customer migration initiatives, churn mitigation, and renewal support.

  • Translate customer signals into targeted engagement and action.

Customer Data & Lifecycle Infrastructure Leadership

  • Serve as the marketing leader aligned to Deltek's lead-to-cash and customer data transformation.

  • Represent the customer lifecycle within enterprise data and platform initiatives.

  • Ensure Customer Marketing programs are powered by a scalable data foundation connecting customer signals, engagement, and outcomes.

Qualifications


  • Senior marketing leader with experience building and scaling global customer or lifecycle marketing functions.

  • Strong program architect with the ability to move from strategy to execution.

  • Deep understanding of customer lifecycle dynamics, retention, expansion, and advocacy.

  • Proven leadership in transformation environments.

  • Comfortable operating at the intersection of marketing, data, technology, and operations.

  • Executive presence and credibility to operate as a trusted partner to the CMO and MLT.

This role defines how Deltek engages, retains, and grows its customer base in the next phase of the company's evolution. The VP of Customer Marketing will ensure customer insight, proof, and lifecycle intelligence become core drivers of growth.

Compensation Info

The U.S. salary range for this position is $197,500.00-$315,000.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
