Internships at Chromalloy


Our internship programs offer students and recent graduates a chance to gain real-world experience in a dynamic, high-impact setting. Interns at Chromalloy are immersed in hands-on projects, mentored by experienced professionals, and encouraged to contribute fresh ideas that drive innovation. This is an excellent opportunity to build valuable skills and launch your career in the aerospace and energy sectors.

The candidate must be pursuing a BS/MS in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering and show a strong interest in the jet engine or gas turbine industry and must be able to work collaboratively with a cross-functional engineering and operations team in a dynamic environment. The candidate should be Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and have good communication skills and be able to clearly document findings in technical reports, presentations, and engineering databases. As an intern at the ECoE the candidate will be introduced to the engineering and lab disciplines below:



  • Engineering functions

    • Engine Performance
    • Secondary Flow
    • Aerodynamic Design
    • Cooling/Thermal Design
    • Mechanical and Structural Design


  • Lab Functions

    • ATOS
    • CMM
    • HCF
    • Airflow
    • Materials
    • Modal




At the completion of the summer internship the candidate will present the work completed during the internship and what they feel they learned and what their favorite and not so favorite tasks that they performed.
