The Pay Scale is $345,010 to $466,773

Position Summary

The Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) reports to the President, CareConnect (CC) and owns clinical informatics, practice optimization consulting, and clinical technology education & training functions of CC, a future subsidiary of MultiCare Health System. This leader also is a key driver of electronic health record (EHR) governance and alignment of key CC customer requests that inform MultiCare's "One EHR" approach. The CC CMIO supports the product strategy, operations, customer success, and business development functions of CC as the clinical executive of the company. This role has a dual reporting relationship to the MultiCare Health System Chief Health Information Officer (CHIO). The incumbent works closely with Physician, APPs, Nursing, Pharmacist and other clinical Informaticists. This position may still practice medicine at up to a 0.2 FTE and serves as a physician champion. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Requirements:

  • Current board certification in a clinical specialty field, with unrestricted license to practice medicine in Washington state
  • 2+ years of private practice experience with active clinical practice
  • Epic experience preferred
  • Clinical management experience preferred
  • Prior leadership experience in large scale change efforts in the clinical and/or informatics functional area
  • MBA preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. Pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
