Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for a Material Managerto join our Fireplaces Business Unit in Mt. Pleasant, IA. The Fireplaces Business Unit is one of our key business units within Hearth & Home Technologies, featuring leading brands such as Heat & Glo, Majestic,Heatilator, and more. This business unit is dedicated to advancing fireplace technology and design, reflecting our commitment to exceptional quality and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and drive plant related procurement strategies and services
  • Partner with Corporate Procurement in the development and execution of HHT strategic objectives
  • Participate and support in supplier evaluations and selection processes including strategic sourcing initiatives
  • Provide adequate and timely communication to suppliers and internal customers to ensure flow of parts and information
  • Demonstrated Lean / BPI experience to provide enterprise-wide continuous improvement direction in materials and procurement
  • Lead plant material flow transformation
Minimum Qualifications
  • Four-year degree in Business Administration, engineering, economics, applied sciences or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; MBA preferred
  • 5-10 years or more of progressively responsible procurement or production management
  • Sourcing, kanban, JIT and other inventory management experience
  • A proven record of implementing and sustaining ERP, Lean Manufacturing productivity, cost reduction and other continuous improvement programs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Certification preferred
  • Experience in lean material flow conversion and sustainability preferred
