Overview
The Clinical Training & Development Specialist supports the organization, coordination, and continuous improvement of student clinical experiences and clinical excellence initiatives across the system. This role collaborates closely with academic partners, Carle Health leaders, students, and preceptors to ensure high quality clinical learning environments and a seamless onboarding process.In addition to managing student placements, onboarding, regulatory requirements, and affiliation agreements through the clinical exchange platform, SharePoint, and other regulatory applications, the Specialist also contributes to the development, implementation, and maintenance of professional development ladders and related clinical excellence programs. This includes supporting team members as they progress through advancement pathways, assisting with documentation and competency tracking, and partnering with leaders to promote a culture of professional growth. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree, Work Experience: Customer service Responsibilities Supports clinical student onboarding, placement, and follow up for all clinical students across the Carle Health system, including nursing, certified medical assistants, technologists, respiratory therapists, surgical technicians, and other clinical roles. Organizes, coordinates, and continuously improves student clinical experiences to ensure high quality learning environments. Promotes access to clinical opportunities by facilitating clear, timely communication with academic partners, clinical teams, and system leaders. Ensures completion, documentation, and tracking of all regulatory requirements, compliance steps, and reporting for student processes. Facilitates regular communication and updates to academic partners in collaboration with Clinical Education, HR, and other teams. Manages academic affiliation agreements for all clinical students at Carle Health sites, ensuring regulatory and organizational alignment. Oversees student placement processes, onboarding workflows, and regulatory documentation using platforms such as the My Clinical Exchange system, Smartsheet, SharePoint, and other regulatory or credentialing applications. Collaborates closely with academic partners, Carle Health leaders, students, and preceptors to ensure a seamless onboarding experience and high quality clinical learning environment. Supports shadowing and internship requests, including coordination, onboarding requirements, documentation needs, and communication with students and departments. Contributes to the development, implementation, and maintenance of clinical excellence programs, including professional development ladders and advancement pathways. Supports team members progressing through professional development ladders by assisting with documentation, competency tracking, and milestone verification. Partners with leaders to promote a culture of professional growth, providing guidance and resources to support team advancement. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $23.83per hour - $39.8per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
