Responsibilities

Position Summary:
The Director, Revenue Cycle Operations is responsible for managing all aspects of
reimbursement for Newport Healthcare. Responsibilities include management of verification of
benefits, financial counseling, billing/claims submission, insurance collections, self-pay
management, credit balances, and payment integrity.

Essential Duties:
* Create, execute, and manage revenue cycle processes to include verification of benefits, billing,
insurance collections, client collections, and cash posting.
* Coordinate with Admissions, Utilization Review, Compliance, IT, and field operations to ensure all
billable services performed are billed in a timely fashion, claims are accurate and meet payor
requirements, and a system is in place to evaluate all non-payments and denials and track
payment / denial metrics to identify billing problems or payor issues.
* Coordinate with the VP of Revenue Cycle, Manager of Revenue Analytics, and IT in the
development of a system of KPIs, dashboards, and other reports that measure the productivity
and effectiveness of each Revenue Cycle department.
* Assess needs around people, processes, and systems to identify requirements to scale the
department in conjunction with Newport Healthcare's rapid growth.
* Manage business requirements and development efforts of the Collectors Workbench and
Revenue Cycle productivity reporting.
* Monitor payment activity to determine payment trends and changes in payor behavior, including
the distribution of the daily cash forecast to leadership.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Supervisory. This position manages others who supervise employees and is responsible for
the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these departments. Responsibilities
include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work,
appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and
resolving problems following Newport Healthcare's protocols.

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related
field or minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare management required.
* Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related
field, preferred.
* Proven experience in Revenue Cycle management for a healthcare operation in excess of
$400M in revenue.
* Experience with managing Revenue Cycle systems, including system implementation.
* Experience with healthcare analytics and reporting.
* Sound knowledge of health insurance providers.
