Role Summary

At Associated Bank, the Personal Trust Associate supports Relationship Managers and clients by coordinating daily trust and agency account administration. This role ensures accurate account maintenance, responsive client service, and strong compliance practices. It's a great opportunity to grow your expertise in trust administration while partnering across teams and building meaningful client relationships. Key Accountabilities
  • Coordinate daily administration of personal trust and agency accounts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper documentation.

  • Monitor account activity and initiate transactions including distributions, cash processing (wires, ACH, bill pay), and account openings/closures.

  • Partner with Relationship Managers and internal teams to resolve complex client inquiries and operational issues.

  • Prepare client materials, reports, and presentations; support business development efforts and maintain internal systems.

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, risk standards, and regulatory guidelines across all account activity.

  • Maintain accurate records of discretionary payments, account reviews, and required documentation.

  • Support administrative needs including scheduling, correspondence, and special projects.

Education & Experience

Required

  • Associate's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Paralegal Studies, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2+ years of banking, office/administrative, or paralegal experience

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred

  • Experience supporting trust or wealth management accounts

  • Working knowledge of trust systems and financial planning tools (e.g., MoneyGuidePro)

  • Basic understanding of trust administration, tax, and legal requirements
