SUMMARY Test Technicians will perform engineering evaluation, design validation, and process verification testing on Strattec products under the guidance and direction of the Lab Manager. The Lab Technician 2 (Intermediate) will work under the direction of Sr Test Technicians and/or Lab Manager to develop competency to execute product testing. A successful Technician 2 (intermediate) will learn, understand, and actively support The STRATTEC Quality System requirements for product validation within their first 180 days. Successful candidates will understand general safety practices and provide physical organization conformance to 5S methodology. The candidate will also have basic knowledge in electro-mechanical test equipment operation, basic electricity, mechanics, and pneumatic knowledge. Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to work while dressed in protective clothing in extreme temperatures, -40C-85C (-40F-185F) for short intervals and will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles. Risk of electrical shock and vibration can be present and require care and caution. Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Employees may be subject to low to high frequency noise level in the work environment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include adequate far and near vision.
