SUMMARY

The Assembler is responsible for building preassemblies and finished goods in a manufacturing machine shop environment, ensuring all products meet quality and production standards. This role involves operating materialhandling equipment such as forklifts and hoists, using a variety of hand tools, and following detailed technical drawings and instructions. The Assembler maintains a clean and safe work area, adheres to all safety and quality control procedures, and completes required documentation accurately. Success in this position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced, equipmentintensive setting.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds preassemblies according to specifications.

  • Assembles finished goods to meet production and quality requirements.

  • Operates material handling equipment, forklifts and hoists.

  • Utilizes pipe vises, pipe and strap wrenches and various hand tools to complete assigned tasks.

  • Maintains general housekeeping to ensure a clean and organized work area.

  • Follow all shop safety standards at all times.

  • Adheres to all company Quality Control Procedures.

  • Completes all required paperwork accurately and on time.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school education or equivalent.

  • 1-2 years' Experience in a manufacturing, machine shop, or mechanical assembly environment

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)

  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

  • Safely operate material handling equipment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to perform simple troubleshooting or rework.

  • Machine shop setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and metal components
