Position Title: Quality Engineer - Manufacturing Location: Norton, MA Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 annually \| Direct Hire Advantage Technical is hiring a Quality Engineer on behalf of our client in Norton, MA. This direct hire Quality Engineer role offers the opportunity to lead quality initiatives within a growing manufacturing environment. The Quality Engineer will support inspection processes, supplier quality, and continuous improvement while working closely with engineering, production, and customers to maintain high manufacturing standards. Key Responsibilities Develop quality inspection documentation, including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and PPAP submissions Create and maintain inspection plans for incoming, in-process, and final manufacturing inspections Program and operate Micro-Vu vision systems and Keyence IM systems for dimensional inspection Coordinate QA/QC lab workflow and support inspection teams to meet production and shipping schedules Lead MRB (Material Review Board) and RMA investigations while performing root cause analysis using tools such as 5-Why, Ishikawa, and 8DCollaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement Apply GD&T to review engineering drawings and ensure accurate inspection methods Support new product development by creating inspection programs and fixtures using SolidWorks and 3D printing Qualifications 5+ years of Quality Engineer or Quality Assurance experience in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment Experience with quality tools, inspection systems, and statistical analysis Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, M2M, or QT9 preferred Lean Six Sigma, CQE, or CQA certification is a plus Strong data analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a technical discipline Benefits: This Quality Engineer position offers competitive salary, strong benefits, and long-term career growth within a collaborative manufacturing team.
