Position Overview

The Strategic Account Manager - Bonding Agents is responsible for driving growth and profitability for H.B. Fuller's CILBond and Elastomer product lines. CILBond technologies serve the rubber-to-substrate bonding market, while the Elastomer portfolio enhances rubber formulations and performance. This role balances strategic account management with proactive business development, partnering closely with customers, distributors, and internal teams. The position focuses on valuebased selling, margin optimization, and longterm customer success.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute short and longterm account strategies focused on growth, profitability, and risk management.

  • Own annual sales, margin, and volume results for assigned accounts.

  • Lead pricing and margin strategy, including customer negotiations using valuebased selling.

  • Drive new business growth through structured prospecting and development of strategic opportunities.

  • Maintain a robust, forwardlooking sales pipeline to support longterm growth and diversification.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to customers by providing insights on market trends and industry dynamics.

  • Collaborate with R&D, technical service, and marketing to support trials, new customer development, and commercialization.

  • Partner with distribution partners to align strategies and drive joint growth initiatives.

  • Optimize portfolio mix, pricing, and volume to deliver commercial objectives.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 years of industrial sales experience (marketing or technical experience may be considered).

  • Proven ability to proactively engage customers and deliver results in a growthoriented environment.

  • Ability to work independently and quickly develop technical product knowledge.

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

  • Valid driver's license with willingness to travel up to 50%, depending on territory.

  • Selfmotivated with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, mechanical, chemistry, or marketingrelated field.

  • Experience in rubbertosubstrate bonding, rubber compounding, and/or adhesives and sealants markets.

  • Demonstrated success managing strategic accounts and complex negotiations.

  • Experience collaborating crossfunctionally in a matrixed organization.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $100,000 - $130,000.
