As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol PT in Winston Salem, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. You will document observations, support campus activities, and work closely with team members and site contacts. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, suspicious activity, and facility-related concerns, and notify campus stakeholders and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification and/or authorization as required by post orders, directing visitors and service providers to appropriate destinations and documenting activity as required.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other documentation, and communicate shift activity, policy concerns, and follow-up items to the next shift and/or site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
