Job Description




As a Airport Security Officer in Kahului, HI, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time - Overnight

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements

    Valid Driver's License
  • 21+ years of age
  • Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
  • Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation facility.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminals, curbside areas, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access at checkpoints, gates, and restricted areas by verifying identification, credentials, and/or permits in accordance with post orders and government facility requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with crowd management, reporting hazards, and coordinating response with site representatives and/or local authorities.
  • Complete shift activity logs and incident reports, monitor radios and communication channels, and promptly escalate unusual activity, alarms, and/or maintenance concerns through the established chain of command.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
