Job Overview
We are looking for a Technical Services Manager to join our team onsite in Holland, MI. The position will work core hours of Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
As theTechnical Services Manager, you will lead a team of engineering professionals, overseeing their performance and development while driving results within a specialized area. Manage resources, adapt plans, and make decisions to address operational challenges, ensuring projects align with departmental goals.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical degree.
- Education Equivalency:
- Associate's degree in Engineering or related technical degree, plus 2 years of related experience or,
- 4 years of related experience if no post-secondary education.
- Military Equivalency at www.mynextmove.org/vets/find/military
Experience
- 5 years of technical experience in Electrical, Mechanical, or Facilities Engineering.
- 2 years supervisory experience.
In addition:
- Applicants must be able to work onsite in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
- Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position
- Willing and able to travel up to 5 percent of the time to other Haworth locations (1-2 days per quarter to Northern Plants and 1-2 times per year to Southern Plants).
Essential Functions
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including product management, manufacturing, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within engineering processes, implementing changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead a culture of inclusion and belonging, promoting member engagement, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of engineering professionals, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Manage departmental budgets, allocate resources effectively, and track expenses to ensure financial responsibility.
- Oversee the execution of complex engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7-10 years of presence in manufacturing/facilities intensive environments.
- Familiarity with electrical power and/or compressed air systems.
- Project management related to electrical, mechanical or facilities engineering.
- Building management systems.
- Data/Process driven mindset.
- Strong communication skills.
- Contract development experience.
- Experience on sustainability programs.
