Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol

As a Security Officer - Clinic Roving Patrol in Tuscaloosa, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will be the visible presence that helps support patients, visitors, and staff through routine foot patrols, access monitoring, and timely reporting of security-related concerns. You will respond to calls for service, assist with wayfinding, and communicate clearly with clinical teams. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control, visitor management, and other security-related procedures within a healthcare location, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, corridors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems; document observations, incidents, and actions taken in daily logs and reports per site requirements.
• Assist with de-escalation and provide direction to patients, visitors, and staff regarding facility rules, restricted areas, and after-hours protocols, escalating concerns through the chain of command when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or applicable security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
