As a Security Officer - Flex Entry Control in Ocala, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and maintain clear visitor and driver logs. You will perform routine patrols throughout assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide strong customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, including checking identification, issuing badges, and directing authorized persons to the proper location.
  • Control entry and exit at gates and/or lobbies by verifying appointments, reviewing shipping and receiving documentation, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and delivery logs per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and emergency services as directed and completing required reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the warehouse, yard, and perimeter, checking doors, docks, trailers, and restricted areas for unusual activity and/or policy issues.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems when assigned, escalating security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management per procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • - Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
